Warwick Neck
Improvement
Association
Founded in 1952, the Warwick Neck
Improvement Association, Inc., has been in
existence for more than 50 years, working to
promote social interaction and improve the
living conditions on the "Neck". We are a
non-profit community service organization
dedicated to improving life for its
residents through advocacy of Warwick Neck
interests before public officials,
organizing volunteers and/or raising capital
to pay for community improvement projects,
and community building through social
activities that bring the residents
together.
Highlights of Recent Projects and Future
Activities
Advocacy:
to promote the road resurfacing,
installation of new sidewalks, and
landscaping along Warwick Neck Avenue;
continued improvements in the restoration of
the salt marsh in Warwick Cove; promoting a
solution to the "Coyote invasion"; extension
of the City sewer system to Warwick Neck;
and monitoring the development of a
potentially major Warwick Neck real estate
project at Rocky Point.
Capitol Improvements:
design and purchase of the Warwick Neck sign
at the beginning of Warwick Neck Avenue; the
Cove salt marsh restoration and future
enhancements for the enjoyment of Warwick
Neck residents; and supporting and funding
the printing of the 2nd Edition of the
History of "Warwick Neck – A Collection of
Memories", a 400 page hard-bound book
researched and edited by Bill Nixon, a
long-time resident of Warwick Neck.
Community Building:
the Annual 4th of July Parade, the Annual
Meeting to report on activities of the Board
to all of the residents who attend; and the
Winter Meeting (this year, the Chili Supper
at Cornerstone) to give residents an
opportunity to meet and renew acquaintances
of both new and old neighbors and friends.
